FALLEN dec 25’
40x40, Acrylic on Canvas“Fallen” is a call to belonging. A feeling deeply ingrained in our DNA that makes us do things we could never imagine we could do. For the better or the worse, we engage in this life to belong. If it’d be to a place, person or a calling.
What we chose is our decision, though often may feel like a cage of its own, with key. Not one we seemed to hold ourselves anyway, even though, we still say we are the decision makers.
This piece emphasis the process, when we don’t, didn’t choose, or stopped choosing, willingly or not. Out of safety or no energy. The process of falling, when we have cracked a little, lost a piece we once carried, of us, and don’t yet see a way out.
I say, yet, as when we have fallen, there is only one way to go afterwards. Up. Which gives a sign that there is a way, your way, your decision, to make a choice.
Chose wisely.
